Today I went to see a Navy Ship, the HMCS Shawinigan. I got to go on it and get a picture of a person sitting in the captains chair with a vest and a hat. They have a 40mm rapid fire gun, and 250 calibre HMGs.

In the Navy, when you cross the Arctic, the youngest have to paint the bull's ring on the front on the boat in their underwear. They paint it blue in the Arctic and red in the Equator.

The ship is going to Owen Sound and then Goderich to help with the tornado clean up.

Wizard Banquet

I decided to make a wizard banquet. I got this idea from the book Wizard Craft. Each plate has the zodiac sign for me, my brother and my cousins.

We bought some glasses at a thrift store and clear plastic plates at a dollar store. You paint the bottom of the plate and the outside of the glasses so it doesn't touch your food and the paint stays on if you gently wipe/wash them after you are done. I used acrylic paint from a craft store.
